hengstlerHengstler, one of the European leaders in the manufacturing of industrial components for counting and control applications, introduced Chinese fonts in the firmware of its range of receipt printer eXtendo.

This innovation has been made possible thanks to the redesign of the device’s hardware and firmware: in order to memorize the huge set of Chinese characters (more than 27.000) and to give customers the ability to choose different fonts sizes, Hengstler enlarged flash memory and RAM of X-56 and X-80 models.

Chinese is the world’s most spoken language and this technical upgrade targets Chinese-speaking countries – such as PRC, Singapore and Taiwan – as well as other areas in which Chinese characters are used, highlighting the German company’s aim to expand its presence on the vital Asian markets.
