ABB closes the 3rd quarter of 2016 with a slight decrease in net income ($568M vs. $577M in the previous year), a result that reflects – among other factors – the decline in total orders (-14%) and highlights a scenario marked by uncertainties.

Ulrich Spiesshofer, CEO of ABB, underlined how events related to the geopolitical international context, such as the Brexit and US elections, contributed to the reduction in orders’ amount, affecting this quarter’s performance.

Starting from April 2017 ABB’s CFO will be Timo Ihamuotila, replacing Eric Elzvik who will leave the company.
